Alpine Elementary News October 23

10/23/20

Dear Parents,
Thank you for all your understanding and patience this week as we managed our first and only positive COVID-19 case thus far this school year. I am grateful for the level of understanding the parents of students most impacted had when communication occurred.

It is important for families to continue to take precautions at home to keep their child healthy. Our positive case was another example of a student contracting the virus outside of school. Please know if your child is identified as a close contact you will receive a phone call directly from our school staff.

I would also like to thank all those parents who were inconvenienced by our bus driver shortage this week Thursday and Friday. Although we could not control the personnel shortage we do appreciate your understanding. Students who were absent due to transportation needs will have an excused absence. If you know of anyone interested in driving a bus for Kenowa Hills, please ask him/her to reach out to our transportation director, Diane Schwaiger, at durhamschoolservices.com.

EDUCATION
REDEFINED

Our Personal Mastery educational experience has redefined education and has gained attention around the state and nation. Personal Mastery provides your child with personalized attention from teachers. Instead of teaching to a broad group of students without understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses, Personal Mastery allows teachers to interact with students individually or in small groups to help them better address their weaknesses. In this way, we strive to help your child reach their full potential.
